Thanks to everyone who participated in Blog Jog Day! We had over 1,800 visitors to this Website!
Here are some words from our Bloggers:

“Thanks for all your work, Carol.
I found several blogs of interest and followed a few. Also had about 6 new followers to my own blog on the day, so a worthwhile exercise for me.”

Stuart at http://stuartaken.blogspot.com

"Thanks for all the hard work you do preparing and hosting this (not to mention sending out all the e-mails). It must take a lot out of your busy schedule, and I appreciate that."

Yippee! It's Blog Jog Day

Welcome to Blog Jog Day and a BIG “thank you” for joining us!

Please click on to "Tweet This" and add to your "Facebook" page! Thank you!

Some terrific, inspirational, and very interesting Blogs await your visit (and lot’s of them). Here’s how it works:

Now things NEVER go exactly as planned. So if you don’t see the link, or you click it on and it doesn’t seem to work, back click your browser and come back here for a new link to re-start your jog.

Thank you again for joining us today and don’t forget to click “Follow This Blog” or sign up for their newsletter when you visit a new and interesting site.

Final Call for Bloggers to Sign Up!

If you have not signed up for Blog Jog Day yet, you will need to do so prior to midnight (PT) on the 19th. It takes time to organize this event and the deadline has to be set. Please visit http://www.blogjogday.webs.com to get on the boat!

Why do I charge $2 for Bloggers to be included? Can you imagine what Blog Jog Day would be like if we had every spam blog on the Web joining in? The $2 keeps them away and helps pay for promotion of the event. Most importantly, it keeps Blog Jog Day quality!

2'nd Blog Jog Day November 21!

November 21, 2010 is the 38th annual World Hello Day. Anyone can participate in World Hello Day simply by greeting ten people. With this in mind, I will be scheduling the 2’nd Blog Jog Day event on this date.

If you participated in our May 9 Blog Jog Day, you will be notified by e-mail if you would like to participate again in November. You may also e-mail me at chipanugget@gmail.com to be put on the notification list. I will send these out sometime in the next 2 weeks.

The May 9, 2010 Blog Jog Day was a huge success and I hope you all will participate again. This November’s event has been deliberately scheduled just before the holidays so if we have products to promote we have a better chance of sales. Remember, most Blog links remain for days, weeks, or permanently! Last year we had over 3,000 Blog visitors on Blog Jog Day and several thousand more just before and long after that date!

Our last event had some hitches in the giddy-up and I am working on resolving those for the November event. You ideas are always welcome!

Blog Jog Day Success!

So we did it! The first ever Blog Jog Day event is now just a rumor in the ladies room. Will we go again? Absolutely! My hope is that every participant found some positive level of success.

There were some hitches in our giddy-up. First-time events always have them and we’ll take your suggestions to heart and try to make the next Blog Jog Day better—and easier. We did get OVER 3,000 hits to the Blog Jog Day Blog; that was amazing! That also did not include the day before (461), the day after
(557), or, the hits that seem to keep coming! The links will remain on this site so Bloggers should continue to get new visitors for a while longer.

Personally, the best part of Blog Jog Day was meeting and conversing via Internet, with all the wonderful people online; and of course seeing some terrific Blogs! Thank you so very much for your participation and kind feedback of which I have posted below.

If you did not participate in Blog Jog Day and would like your Blog included next time, send me your email address and I’ll put you on the Blogger list (caroldenbow@gmail.com).

Also, in line with great promotional ideas. If you are an author, writer, or book lover, and you haven’t been to Book Event Center yet, please come over to our new all-inclusive social site at http://BookEventCenter.Spruz.com and see what all the hype is about! It’s free to join so why not give it a try?
See you all next time!

“Blog Jog Day has been an excellent experience for me. Not only did I pick up 11 new followers -- and my blog had a huge amount of hits -- but I even got a few more votes for the contest I'm a finalist in (and for which the prize is a publishing contract for my novel). So thank you very, very much!” Lisa http://writingonthinice.blogspot.com/

“I had seven new people to follow me.Yey! This was a great event. I just wanted to express my gratitude. So, thank you and Happy Mother's Day!” Shereeda L.Bowers, Author
http://shereedalbowers.blogspot.com

“I got 12 new subscribers to my newsletter. I connected with about ten people on Twitter, and several asked for the free e-book I offered. Going to check my stats next.” Yvonne Perry http://writersinthesky.blogspot.com/

“I just wanted to say thanks for coordinating the blog jog. I installed a counter on my site and doubled my normal number of visitors. I also increased my followers by 20%. I found dozens of blogs that I added to my blog roll. Not sure how I'm going to read them all, but there were so many awesome sites, I didn't want to lose them. Thanks again." Vicki http://MissVSpeaks.blogspot.com

“BJD has been awesome for me, Carol. Thanks so much for arranging it. I participated in the morning (clicked on several blogs, left comments, followed some, Tweeted about it, same on FB) and also saw several folks sign up as followers of my own blog, leave comments, and hopefully, subscribe. And it's evening now and we're back from our day away, so I've picked up the pace and got back on the BJD bandwagon. It was a resounding success. Thanks again.” Doreen Pendgracs http://doreenisthewizardofwords.blogspot.com

Then follow-up with an e-mail to blogjogday@gmail.com with your Blog address. Within a few days, you will receive a post to copy and paste as a post on your Blog. It will look similar to this:

“Thank you for stopping by my Blog! Please explore all this Blog has to offer, then jog on over to (add next Blog link here). If you would like to visit a different Blog in the jog, go to http://blogjogday.blogspot.com.”

You will be allowed to personalize your Post to suite your own Blog and personality. However, we will be providing the required link to the next Blog.

We all have Blogs, we all have friends. The more of us that do it, the better the results for all of us! What are you waiting for…get on board now!

How Participating Bloggers Can Help Get More Blogs to join Up

All participants can help promote Blog Jog day by inviting their networking friends to join in.

Things you can do to help promote Blog Jog Day:
*Post an “upcoming” announcement on your Blog inviting other Bloggers to join.
*Post a Blog about the event on your Ning membership sites.
*Post a notice on your Facebook Page and Twitter.
*E-mail all your friends and family Bloggers to let them know about Blog Jog Day.

Most of you know me or have worked with me online to promote books. I am very efficient in my promotional efforts. My Blog, "A Book Inside" reached a Page Rank 4 in just 6 months online! Together we can be even better!

When I first promoted my Ning site, I used a similar method to get initial visitors. I had over 500 hits and nearly 300 new subscribers on the first day! I accomplished that by notifying just my own social networking friends. Then, after asking my new members to notify all their social networking friends, our membership grew tenfold! Imagine what we could do as a networking team??

Finally, about one day before Blog Jog Day:
*Send a reminder note to all your friends on your social networks, e-mail, mailing lists, Facebook, Goodreads, Twitter, etc. and ask them to jog on Blog Jog Day.
*If you have an Entrecard, drop, drop, drop on May 9!
*Join in the jog on Blog Jog Day! We too can jog on that day to visit other interesting Blogs in the circle!

F.A.Q. About Blog Jog Day

Q. I have more than one Blog. Can I include all of them on Blog Jog Day?
A. Yes, it’s $2.00 per Blog, no limit!

Q. My Blog is not yet highly ranked by Google or Yahoo. Can I still participate on Blog Jog Day?
A. The best thing about Blog Jog Day is that it is beneficial to everyone, regardless of the popularity of your Blog. Everyone is encouraged to participate.

Q. My Blog already gets a lot of hits. How will Blog Jog Day benefit my Blog?
A. Blog Jog Day will bring new unique visitors to our Blogs. Unique visitors means more exposure, and for most of us, more sales!

Q. Do the Bloggers need to be similar in content?
A. No. All Blogs on any topic or subject matter are welcome and encouraged to participate. We would like Blog Jog Day to be an adventure for all visitors.

Q. I live in a different country but would like to include my Blog, can I do that?
A. Sure. Check the time converter at http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ to see exactly when you need to post.

Q. Is Blog Jog Day just for “Blogger” users, or can anyone sign up?
A. As long as you can add a forwarding link at the top and center of your Site, you are welcome to join Blog Jog Day.

Q. What happens if we have a broken link or a dead end?
A. The sample post we send you will lead visitors back to the Blog Jog Day Blog, which will list (at the top) all the Blogs in the circle so they can continue on jogging. We will also pre-check for bad links.

Q. Will I be informed where my link is in the circle, and can I be linked from my friends Blog?
A. Sorry, it would be too difficult to connect specific links but if you submit your links together, they should be connected. Jog on May 9 to find your link!

Q. Why Sunday May 9? Do I have to be available?
A. Sunday was chosen because research showed it was the most active Blogging day. Although it would be best for all of us to join in the Blog, it is not necessary for you to be "available" on Blog Jog Day as long as your post is pre-set to appear on time.

Q. I don’t have a PayPal account. How else can I pay the $2.00?
A. You can snail mail your $2.00 to Plain & Simple Books, P.O. Box 1506, North Bend, Oregon 97459. Please include your e-mail address and Blog URL on your check.

Q. Who should I contact for more information?
A. E-mail your questions to blogjogday@gmail.com
